The library service in the Valmalenco is ensured by three municipal libraries: Chiesa Valmalenco, Caspoggio and Lanzada.

The valley also preserves important, historic, parish libraries, which contain mainly religious works, edited between the 15th and the 20th century.

The parish libraries of Chiesa, Primolo, Caspoggio and Lanzada were restored and catalogued between 2006 and 2007, curated by Pietro Galassi from the Library of the Catholic University of Milan in collaboration with the Foundation – Centro Studi “Nicolò Rusca” at the Diocesan Seminary Library of Como.
