A short ring which takes you to the ancient quarries, where they extracted and worked the famous green
Soapstone of Pirlo.
Follow the waymarker 316 to the beginning of the route at the bridge near the old towers: here there is a working factory, used to demonstrate how the cooking pots were turned.
The route is marked with the usual symbol and immediately leaves the main track to rise alongside the torrent Sassersa, past the ruins of other factories.
When you come to a flat clearing, turn southwards to rejoin the path near a panorsmic viewpoint known as Crun, overlooking the entire valley.
Then, continue to the quarries, where you can visit some of the various, accessible tunnels.
Finally, you come to the current quarry area at the top of the settlement.
The path then descends towards the little Lake Pirlo (this stretch follows the
High Route), which originates from a spring near the old tunnels.
Cross the picturesque mountain pasture of Pirlo, and follow the track which descends to the left of the torrent Sassersa, where you will discover the ruins of other factories.
The ring route ends at the lathes you visited initially.
