This stage presents a considerable height gain and climbs steeply up the Val Sassersa, with the 3 delightful little lakes of Sassersa on the way up to the Ventina Pass. This walk is extremely varied, as it crosses very different natural environments. Mastabbia offers a spectacular view of the Bernina range. You'll discover numerous ethnographic traces, including old talc and soapstone quarries, old lathes and ancient settlements. You can cross at this altitude from Giumellino and follow an alternative path to cut the stage by approximately one hour.
